September 11th Reflection

Thirteen years ago today, our nation was changed forever when an intentional act of terror ended thousands of lives, and impacted millions more. I remember that day. Let us never forget.

But let us not live in its shadow. Instead, as we did that day, let us rise above, let us face the darkness with hope, let us strive to save those who need saving, let us lift up those who have fallen, and bring calm to the storm.

Let us not be afraid, let us not dehumanize and act in rage, let us not be part of violence that ends lives and destroys communities, let us not tolerate it in others.
September 11, 2001 changed us. Let it be for the better.
