When Visionary launched in 2006, it was as a Teaching Studio, designed to assist aspiring creators in gaining the skills and knowledge needed to build a career in comics. That goal has always remained part of our vision. VCS alumni have gone on to work for the likes of DC, Image, Top Cow, BOOM, Dynamite and many other top publishers! Starting this Summer, Visionary takes it to an all new level. In partnership with Anne Arundel Community College, Visionary is proud to announce the first classes in our Comic Book Curriculum! These classes taught by Visionary's Creative Director, C. Edward Sellner, will each focus on different aspects of the comic book industry and be designed to give you much needed skills and knowledge to pursue your dreams!

This 6 session series will focus on teaching comic design and creation basics, with hands on practice and individual critique. Learn what goes into comic creation and how to make it work!

Introduction to the Comic Book Industry:: Single Session:
Thursday 9/29/11, 7:00-9:00PM
This single session intense introduction focuses on learning the nature of the Comic Book BUSINESS, how it works, what it's goals are, and the dynamics you need to understand to work in it successfully.
Comic Book Creation and Design:: 6 Weekly Sessions:
Saturdays 10/15-11/17, 9:30AM-12:00PM
This 6 session series will focus on teaching comic design and creation basics, with hands on practice and individual critique. Learn what goes into comic creation and how to make it work!
